As its name suggests, the Royal Windsor Triathlon is steeped in tradition, taking place in the historical setting of Windsor and currently in its 32nd year.

However, despite its rich history, there’s always something new to look forward to at the event, and each year is truly a unique experience.

This year, there’s plenty going on, from elite racing to a brand new (115ft high!) attraction. We’ve put together a list of 4 new things to look out for at the event this year, to help you make the most of the day.

1. British Triathlon Championships

The British Triathlon Championships are coming to Windsor this year, which will see top triathletes battle it out to be crowned winner of their field. The competition is looking fierce this year, with a field of pros taking part in the prestigious competition.

2. World Championship (Sprint Distance) Qualifiers

As an extra competitive edge, the event will also be a qualifier for the 2025 World Championship Sprint Distance Triathlon, held in Australia next year. A host of world-class athletes will be competing to enter the next stages of the competition, and some rapid results are expected!

3. New Santini Gear

Global leader in cycling and triathlon clothing, Santini, has partnered with the Royal Windsor Triathlon as the Official Apparel Partner for the 2024 event. Santini is renowned for crafting top-notch gear and for 2024, they have produced a one-of-a-kind cycling jersey, tech tee and long sleeve cotton tee for the event.

Official 2024 Royal Windsor Triathlon Santini items are available to purchase now and will be available to be picked up during the event weekend.

The deadline to order is Friday 31st May (pick it up onsite).

4. The Windsor Wheel!

A 115ft high observation wheel has been constructed in Alexandra Gardens, offering stunning views of Windsor. Each ride lasts for 15-20 minutes and tickets are available online and on the day.

We hope that you enjoy both the old and the new at the Royal Windsor Triathlon this year. Have a royally great day out!
